"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.– Moshe Feldenkrais"
YOUR YOGA SARNIA IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHERAre you looking for another means of movement? One that is beneficial to your body, enhances your self-image and/or speaks to you more than a traditional Yoga or fitness class? Somatic Movement classes may be just what you're looking for!
The purpose of a Somatic Movement class is to uncover your body’s potential. By re-training your body and re-patterning your unconscious (habitual) movement patterns you will learn to move in a more fluid and natural way. If any movement results in pain, discomfort or lacks in ease, this is what requires re-patterning. This awareness presents you with a golden opportunity to re-connect lost movements, in a way that your brain can re-learn and adopt them back into daily movement patterns. This is sensory motor re-education Through learning specific, slow and gentle movements, the brain will re-learn how to gain voluntary control of your movements. These precise, but simple movements are designed to “reboot” your brain-to-muscle communication so your body can relax persistent muscular tightness, restore functional movement and recover your movement potential

Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere of exploration and community working towards a shared goal; that of greater self-care and well being!
